History

The members of Inter-Agri Oils have their roots in humble beginnings. In 1975, Eric Dunstone started farming in Oribi Flats, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. During those early years, sugarcane and tomatoes were the main crops. Eric Dunstone managed to grow his agricultural enterprise significantly and overcame many challenges, such as droughts, floods and economical and political instability. Hard work, integrity and respect for the surrounding community and the natural environment have always been key to his success. Today, joined by his son and son-in-laws, their farming operation includes a number of agri-businesses including macadamia nuts, essential oils and timber plantations as well as an eco-tourism game reserve called Lake Eland Game Reserve.

The members of Inter-Agri Oils collectively employ over two hundred permanent staff members on their farms which is a significant contribution to the upliftment of the local economy where jobs are scarce.
